In 2009, the world lost a sweet little girl who died in a church bus wreck. What happened next no one could have predicted.

"Maggie Lee for Good is an excellent hands-on way for us to teach character education in our school!"

Maggie Lee's Closet in The Highland Center; 520 Olive Street, Shreveoprt, LA. A fabulous & free spot for God's children to shop!

Non-Covid hours of operation: Thursdays 3-6. Children must be with parents to shop.

COVID-19 ALERT: Maggie Lee's Closet is currently closed due to the pandemic. Renovations have continued for our new boutique which we hope to open in 2021. Thank you for your continued interest in Maggie Lee's Closet...where kindness is always in fashion!

About MLC: On February 20, 2013, Maggie Lee's Closet held a Grand Opening. The concept is simple: a beautiful couture children's shop which provides gently-used clothing as well as brand-new uniforms, belts, socks and undies to Shreveport-Bossier Children at absolutely no cost to them.

The space is bright, beautiful and features an 18-foot runway with an eight foot high mirror so that those who would like may revel in their new clothes. Children may visit Maggie Lee's Closet three times a year and helpers (Maggieleestas) welcome the chance to extend Maggie Lee's love for Christ (as well as fashion!) to the precious children in our area.

Oscar-Winning Moonbot Studios of Shreveport lent artistic brilliance to the space with an expansive mural in front of which the children may strike a pose.

Each August Khaki Fair provides brand new uniforms to 300 children. Even with all of the restrictions of COVID-19, we managed to pull it off in a safe, socially-distanced way!

Please email sabrahicks@churchforthehighlans.org for more information, an application or details on how your group may volunteer.
